Which Law & Order: SVU Character You Are, Based on Your Zodiac Sign

Law & Order: SVU has been a primetime staple on TV for 26 seasons.

The series — which follows the ongoing work of the New York Police Department’s Special Victims Unit to solve sex crimes in the city — first aired in September 1999 and remains one of the longest-running primetime series in television history.

While the series has featured a variety of star-studded cameos and appearances over the years from Robin Williams, Sarah Hyland and Hilary Duff, Detective Olivia Benson — played by Mariska Hargitay — remains a central part of the show’s ongoing success.

While fans may feel a special connection to Detective Benson even after all these years, astrology can give an insight into which SVU character you’re most like. While Earth Signs find themselves most like Amanda Rollins, Air Signs may relate to the iconic Olivia Benson herself.

Read on to learn which character from Law & Order: SVU you’re most like, according to astrologer Lisa Stardust.

Aries: Kate Silva

Like Aries signs, Detective Silva likes to forge her own path. Stardust explains that since “her father was a well-known cop on the force, she wants to follow a path that veers from the one her dad created for himself.”

Taurus: Amanda Rollins

In SVU, Amanda Rollins is loyal and an important asset to Detective Benson’s team. Like a Taurus, Stardust says that her “patience, compassion and determination closely align her with this Earth sign.”

Gemini: Joe Velasco

With Velasco’s ongoing undercover work, his character best aligns with Gemini. According to Stardust, “Velasco uses his Mercurial skills to convince others he’s a certain person” and “his transcendence earns him the Gemini seal of excellence.”

Cancer: Sonny Carisi

In SVU, Sonny Carisi is known to “wear his heart on his sleeve” and “get emotionally involved” like Cancer signs.

Stardust adds that in the show, he “yearns to commit to family life with Rollins, and is hyper-sensitive to his unique family situation concerning his dad.”

Leo: Nicholas Baxter

Much like Leos, “DA Baxter made a splash from the beginning of his career and is always one to make an impression.”

Stardust says “Baxter demands respect due to his presence” and adds that “he’s so popular that he works with all the police officers and detectives.”

Virgo: Renee Curry

“The former internal affairs captain recently stepped into the role of captain of SVU. Curry does her job diligently and efficiently, as any Virgo would,” Stardust says. “She’s also always there with a search warrant for those under investigation.”

Libra: Odafin Tutuola

In the series, “Fin” is “fair-minded and does his job without judgment” like Libra.

“He is a sergeant who looks at the facts before forming an opinion,” Stardust continues. “As the diplomatic member of SVU, he searches for truth as any air sign would.

Scorpio: George Huang

According to Stardust, “Scorpios are known to probe the mind to gain perspective, and get deep and understand the motives of others from a different level.” This matches Dr. Huang’s work in SVU to “assist with cases and trials.”

Sagittarius: Terry Bruno

Much like Sagittarius placements, “Bruno wants to rid the world of corruption through honest endeavors and work.” Stardust adds that “he’ll do anything to ensure that the police force is run properly.”

Capricorn: Tiffany Gómez

Stardust says that Capricorns are “business and work-oriented” like Gómez, who “does her job without a hitch.”

“Making sure everything is up to code before busting predators is vital to Gómez,” Stardust adds.

Aquarius: Olivia Benson

In the series, Stardust says that Olivia’s “birthday is Feb. 7, 1968, making the character an Aquarius, which also happens to be actress Mariska Hargitay’s zodiac sign.

Stardust also adds that “Olivia’s desire to do good and defend those in need is due to her Aquarian nature. She aims to provide hope and strength to victims, making her the ideal Aquarius.”

Pisces: Nolan Price

Like Pisces, Price is known to be “compassionate and tender-hearted.” Stardust adds that at times, “Nolan can let his emotions get the best of him and we could even see the sadness in his face.”
